Washing

Dry clean preferred. If hand washing: use cold water (below 30°C) and a pH-neutral silk wash. Never use regular detergent.

Drying

Lay flat on a clean towel in the shade. Never tumble dry or hang in sunlight — this weakens silk fibres and fades natural dyes.

Ironing

Iron on the reverse side only, on the lowest silk/delicate setting. Place a thin cotton cloth between iron and fabric. Never steam directly.

Storage

Roll loosely in unbleached muslin — never fold along the same crease repeatedly. Store away from direct light and moisture.

Washing

Hand wash in cold water with gentle soap, or machine wash on a delicate cycle in a mesh laundry bag. Wash separately for the first three washes to allow dye stabilisation.

Drying

Hang in shade. Do not tumble dry — heat shrinks natural cotton and can crack natural dye pigments.

Ironing

Iron slightly damp on the reverse side at medium heat. This restores crisp block-print definition.

Storage

Fold neatly and store in a cool, dry drawer. Use muslin sachets with dried neem leaves to deter moths.

Dry clean only. If hand washing is unavoidable, use cold water and a specialist wool wash. Never agitate — press gently.

Drying

Reshape while damp and dry flat on a mesh rack. Never hang wool — it stretches under its own weight when wet.

Ironing

Use a cool steam iron on the reverse side only. Always use a pressing cloth.

Storage

Clean before storing (moths are attracted to body oils). Fold with cedar blocks or dried lavender. Never use mothballs — the chemicals can damage natural fibres.
