Kutchi craft has been sustainable for millennia — handmade, plant-dyed, and built to last generations. We are simply committed to keeping it that way.
Natural Dyes Only
Every piece uses plant or mineral dyes — indigo, pomegranate, turmeric, mango bark, iron rust. Zero synthetic chemicals enter our dye baths or the water table.
Zero Plastic Packaging
Orders are wrapped in unbleached muslin, sealed with beeswax paper, and shipped in recycled cardboard. The muslin wrap is intended to be reused as a dust-cover.
Fair Living Wages
Our artisans earn 3–5× the regional textile average. We publish our wage rates annually. Every invoice is traceable to a named maker.
Water Reclamation
Our partner workshops use closed-loop dye water systems. Rinse water is treated with tamarind and alum before being used to irrigate community gardens.
Craft Education Fund
2% of every sale funds apprenticeships for young artisans. We've supported 47 apprentices since 2020 — ensuring these crafts survive another generation.
Carbon-Offset Shipping
We calculate the carbon footprint of each shipment and offset 150% through verified reforestation projects in the Aravalli Hills.
